GT5 Tracks database added to mygranturismo.net
A new section has been opened today, with data and videos on all existing GT5 tracks
You'll find the list here and by using the refreshed top menu.
Average speed exclusive data is relative to the average speed on Suzuka, and has been measured with fast race cars (a Formula One in most cases). The value would be slightly different with other types of cars, but it gives a good idea of each track overall profile.
Selecting a track name will open the track page with additional media (map and videos, from reality and GT5).
Don't forget to rate tracks on their page, and popularity for each one will soon emerge.
Note about today error: You may have experience an error message (serveur error) when clicking on the garage button of a car, during 20 mn after the site update. Reload the carlist page if you still experience the problem.
As for the not-so-dark background, it is a choice set in an overall "soft" design, that for exemple allows the use of smooth shadows and gives me a range of variation to use for user feeback effects (for example during a mouse hover). As for brightness, unfortunately I can't presume/know the settings of each user screen, which is a major factor in how we see colors.
Especially adding the track pictures & the ingame and real world replays is a awesome idea. I also love the new digital-dashboard-like fonts & the colors. The site is really getting better & better.
The only 2 things I don't like is:
- the mygranturismo.net logo: it's kinda boring & not "edgy" enough. Imo it should look more like the GT5 logo. Blue/red, more shiny, 3D effect.
- the backgound color: it's too bright, looks a bit cheap. A darker one like the one from the official GT5 homepage would look much more stylish.
Just my 2 cents. :)
